If the coronavirus pandemic has taught us anything, it’s that our homes have become our sanctuary. This fact is reflected in trends in home decor for the coming new year.

At Lasose Properties & Investments we’re ahead of the game with all that’s new in decor for 2022, so you can revamp your home without leaving out a thing.

Sustainable and smart homes

There’s a trend not only in improving the energy efficiency of our homes, but also of sustainable luxury and care for the environment. Natural recycled or recyclable materials are used, such as polyester fibre fillings that come from recycled plastic bottles, or we see ecological upholstery in 100% recycled and biodegradable polyester. Technology is also becoming an increasingly important part of making daily life in our homes safer, more comfortable and more efficient.

Minimalist but cosy styles

The trend is for more minimalist styles that also feel warm and calm, so we see a big tendency towards natural materials and curved shapes. All this fits in very well with the Nordic style in which natural materials are mixed, as well as including craftsmanship, not only in decorative objects and furniture but also in floors and coverings, achieving unique and special homes.

Versatile spaces and work areas

Today’s homes have lost their compartmentalised character, giving way to a more open and multifunctional house where all the rooms can be integrated into a single space. Within the versatility and multifunctionality of the space, it is essential to locate a workplace at home to be able to carry out our tasks in a comfortable but stylish way.
